​2x FOOD DROPS

​

Three food drops are offered in this package. Two are static food drops to Hugh Gorge and Ormiston Gorge. Static means we drop off your food container to the storerooms and you collect it when you arrive. The other food drop at Hugh Gorge is delivered directly to you during the transfer when we pick you up.

FOOD CONTAINERS AND HIRE

​

Your package includes 2x standard 50lt tubs or containers (General Plastic Storage Containers) for your three food drops.  You can order more containers at extra cost. Generally, 2x50lt are more than sufficient for up to 2 hikers. You can add on more containers to your booking at extra cost. For 3 hikers, you will receive 2x 50lt containers per drop.

STOREROOM KEY HIRE/BOND

​

A key is issued to you as part of the trek package. It is delivered with the containers during pre-trek. The key is required to open the Ormiston Gorge food storeroom.  The key hire is $70 of which $50 is refunded once you return the key to us.  More info about the storeroom key here

PRE-TREK CONTAINER DELIVERY/PICKUP

Your empty food containers will be delivered to your nominated accommodation. Containers are normally dropped off at the Reception storerooms a day before your trek starts or at an agreed date and time.  An SMS will be sent to your nominated mobile phone when delivery has been completed.

PRE-TREK CONTAINER COLLECTION

 

Your packed food containers will be collected from your nominated accommodation. Containers are normally collected the day you start your trek.  An SMS will be sent to your nominated mobile phone when the collection has been completed.

TRAIL RUBBISH DISPOSAL

​

Trail rubbish disposal is included. Rubbish bags will be provided in the containers.
